CLOSE is the story of two 13 year old boys, Leo and Remi  from rural Belguim who have been best friends all their lives but find their friendship misconstrued when they start middle school.  They are both very good looking boys , not typical farm lads and this adds to suspicions about the nature of their relationship. When Leo begins to distance himself from Remi there are dramatic consequences.\

Close is  written and directed by Lukas Dhont  Eden Dambrine as Leo and Gustav de Waele as Remi are oustanding as are their mothers Emilie Dequenne and Lea Drucker in a great support roles

Close premiered at Cannes  to critical acclaim and won the Grand Prix. Now nominated for an Oscar for Best International Film
