Historical Drama
Winner of 5 Spanish film Awards and a big box office hit in Spain, El 47 tells the incredible true story of an act of peaceful dissent and a grassroots neighbourhood movement that transformed Barcelona and the image of its suburbs forever.
It's begins with a backstory; how the neighbourhood, with opposition from the authorities, Torre Baró in Barcelona was formed and settled, with then segues to 1978 where the neighborhood is still without basic ammenities. Ignored by the state and planning departments.
Manolo Vital (Eduard Fernández, also in Marco, an Invented Truth) is a bus driver on line 47. Encouraged by his neighbours to get involved in their fight, and to debunk City Council’s claims that buses cannot climb the hills in the district, one day Manolo decide…
