A dream holiday to celebrate a 50th Birthday goes wrong, gets an idyllic quick fix when its rerouted to Brittany , goes wrong again and eventually comes right in this French comedy-drama film that all people of, ah, a certain age will be able to identify with.
Starring Lambert Wilson (De Gaulle) and Frank Dubosc (Rumba Therapy) alongside a support cast of familiar faces it is a piece that, while intentionally comedic also has a serious side; exploring friendships and perceived intimaces that become increasingly exposed as the group spend more time with each other and familiar patterns emerge.
Grumpiness, world weariness amongst some of the men, old grievances and the family secrets are exposed as the group; on the verge of a major rift work through their issues and bring it all back home for a feel good ending.
