About the Event

Paris Memories (Revoir Paris) film Trailer HERE

Mia (Virginie Efira who won Best Actress at the French Oscars for this role) stops at a Parisian bistro to take shelter from a downpour. Her reprieve is shattered when a gunman opens fire. Six months later, with a frustratingly hazy memory of the attack, Mia finds herself numbed and unable to resume her life.

Her friends and partner seek something from her that she can no longer give. Determined to reconstruct the sequence of events and reestablish a sense of normalcy, Mia finds herself repeatedly returning to the bistro where the shooting happened. In the process, she forms bonds with fellow survivors, including wry banker Thomas (Benoît Magimel) and orphaned teenager Félicia (Nastya Golubeva). When she remembers that a stranger helped her make it through the attack, Mia resolves to find him, if only to make sure that he is alive.

There are many surprises when Mia begins to retrace her steps and Paris Memories, directed with certainty by Alice Winocour (her brother survived the attacks) is powerful and moving  Cinema with an ending that resonates long after the credits roll.

" Paris Memories is powerful film-making, grounded by Efira’s enormous, often silent, central performance." (The Times)

"At all times, Efira is simply sublime as a woman whose life has suffered a cataclysmic reset, but who still manages love and compassion." The Jewish Chronicle

"Winocour (the Director)  slyly turns the film into a detective story... revealing a deeper, richer, more complex reality that’s been there all along." The Scotsman
