About the Event

The Peacock film trailer HERE    (the film will play with English Subtitles)

Featuring an excellent ensemble cast including Tom Schilling (Never Look Away) and David Kross (A Stasi Comedy), The Peacock is a very enjoyable crime comedy which also parodies extravagent team building excercises (Bravo) with their faux outcomes.

When investment banker Linda Bachmann  and her team arrive at the country estate of Lord and Lady McIntosh for a team building seminar, the prospects of having a relaxing weekend in Scotland are poor. The annual balance sheet is lousy, the team is keeping a suspicious eye on each other and their boss, and rumours abound that a compliance officer will soon be restructuring the department.

To make matters worse, the estate is not very comfortable which even skilled cook Helen cannot hide, and the methods of young seminar leader Rebecca ( also seem rather questionable.

When the Lord’s favourite peacock and then the Lady’s favourite goose disappear  quarrels and chaos ensue.

Based on the best-selling eponymous novel by Isabel Bogdan, The Peacock is a stylish cinema which exposes human vanities for what they are  and plays with our expectations.

"Charming and carried by a talented and playful ensemble."   FILM REZENSIONEN
