For anyone familiar with this great Director's work, it will come as no surprise that The Room Next Door is visually exceptional, moving, "joyful" (NY Times) and clever as it brings two friends back together in extraordinary circumstances when one, Martha played by Tilda Swinton, gets in touch with her old friend (and not her 1st choice) Ingrid played by Julianne Moore, to be in the room next door when Martha decides to make the final journey.


Ingrid is a successful writer , married to Damian (the always excellent John Turturro) who was once also married to Ingrid and who is concerned about the legal implications for Ingrid. He advises against it. As they stopped seeing each other many years prior, they have the past to deal with …
